Opportunity: We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Director with strong Construction background to join our Team of Senior Managers / Directors within our Nuclear Business Unit. You will be Responsible for the overall management of construction projects, to ensure that projects are delivered to appropriate time, cost and quality targets. The role includes attending relevant business unit meetings and input into preconstruction activities and selection of staff, recruitment and performance management of operational staff Responsibilities: Ensure that project imperatives and stakeholder interfaces are clearly communicated and understood throughout the project and to others, as appropriate Provide direction, motivation and leadership to both internal staff and external consultants or supply chain partners engaged in providing support activities to the project Responsible for all safety, health, environment and quality matters including driving excellence and championing continuous improvement Be accountable for, and deliver, high levels of performance in key areas of health and safety, environment, sustainability and quality and champion continuous improvement and best value, to support our Perfect Delivery philosophy Lead Delivery of all Construction projects demonstrating a thorough understanding of associated processes and technology Manage project costs ensuring maximum utilisation of resources Coach and motivate the project team and lead by example Manage large scale or complicated multidisciplinary construction schemes or sites and their associated activities from conception through to completion, Deliver work that meets project requirements, customer satisfaction and in accordance with Morgan Sindall standards. Requirements: Degree in Construction Management/other construction related degree or equivalent with additional experience Chartered Engineer Buildings (desirable) Formal Safety and/or Assurance training Proven track record of leading and delivering large and complex Construction projects Significant professional experience of large-scale project management Experience of leading, managing and motivating large project teams in demanding environments Able to implement and support a customer focused approach, providing customers with exemplary solutions Delegation of details as necessary, with follow up on timeliness and quality Self-driven, results-orientated with a positive outlook Good management skills, with the ability to motivate employees to achieve high standards of compliance Excellent organisational skills, planning and time management skill; able to manage business priorities simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality Ability to ensure standards and specifications are met About ISA: Nuclear Our work focuses on delivering non-nuclear infrastructure activities in a nuclear environment both for civil and military customers.
