Summary Responsible for delivering a customer driven and comprehensive Human resources support, aligning to Business strategies. Gain a full in-depth knowledge of the functions and translation of business strategy into HR interventions. Manage payroll/administration and benefits. Responsibilities Contribute to thestrategic direction of the HR function by undertaking appropriate diagnostic work. Facilitate effective implementation of new HR initiatives in designated areas as appropriate Ensure the alignment of HR strategies with existing company policies and procedures, and update as required Work closely with the Global and European HR team to develop and implement ways of working Ensure any strategic changes / implementation of a people cycle is cascaded to all areas of the business and the relevant training is received on new ways of working Manage the payroll process including responsibility for Audit and SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) Compliance., and HR link for HMRC audits Manage UKI benefits including Private Medical Insurance, Life cover, income protection including negotiating the annual rates, gaining agreement for the business and implementation. Manage the current Stakeholder pension and become involved in and progressively take on management of legacy DB pension schemes Build successful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Develop strong networks across the UK/Ireland and Global/European stakeholders Build working relationships with Trade Unions to facilitate a collaborative working practice Ensure ability to respond in a timely way to HR demands Establish a good understanding of the business environment, across the regions Undertake specific project work as required (e.G. Change Projects) Line Management Support Work with the Recruitment hub and key business stakeholders to ensure agreed recruitment processes are followed and the best Talent is recruited. Provide recruitment process advice to internal stakeholders and partner with the recruitment hub to ensure excellent service delivery to candidates and internal stakeholders. Operational Advice & Support Act as point of reference for decision making with all major stakeholders Maintain up to date knowledge of the legislative framework Provide support to line managers during the full HR cycle and processes execution including the annual performance review, PDP’s, training etc. Employee Relations (ER) Advice Work closely with the relevant manager on all ER issues that arise within your area Provide advice and support on all ER issues within the UKI business as appropriate and ensure correct application of HR policies Support the promotion of a culture of performance, change orientation and improvement Where appropriate, challenge existing ways of working to ensure all staff align with the Company policy and aim to World Class Standards. People Metrics Collate and report on all People metrics as required (eg absence, turnover, etc) Analyse and use collected metrics to review outputs and define actions with major stakeholders Talent & Leadership Development Review gaps in leadership capability with senior management and develop action plans accordingly Lead local Talent Management Review and monitor progresses of PDP People Management Provide coaching and mentoring support as required to team members and peers Qualifications Education CIPD qualified or equivalent qualification (full or part qualified) (desirable) Graduate or equivalent (desirable) Educated to “A” level, HND or equivalent (essential) Experience add in back office and benefits experience HR processes and benefits and pension exposure Experience delivering payroll, administration and benefits processes Experience working in a manufacturing or FMCG environment, ideally supporting a Regional or global, corporate organisation Experience in a senior HR management or related role Experience managing Change Management Projects and re-organisations.
