Procurement Officer

Job Category: Construction Job Location: Newcastle, Tyne & Wear, United Kingdom Value Match are supporting a not for profit business consultancy based in the North East who are looking for a motivated Procurement Officer to join their growing team. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary rage of £25,000 - £30,000 on offer. The successful candidate will report into the Head of Procurement and undertake a range of activities to support and create innovative procurement solutions for the organisation, it's Customers and Supply Chain Partners while having a full awareness of and supporting the achievement of the business objectives. Candidates applying must have the following skill set and experience:
- Understanding and management of procurement processes and experience of devising and creating effective procurement solutions
- Excellent communication skills - able to work collaboratively
- Knowledge of different phases within a typical construction project
- Financial management involving budgeting and cost planning
- Pro-active and excellent problem solver
