REED Education are working in partnership with an Ofsted rated “good” special school in East Berkshire which prides itself as being an “innovative and leading provider of education for children and young people”. The school caters for a variety of SEN, including ASD, MLD, SLD and PMLD across ages 2-19.
You will be working alongside a close community of teaching and support staff, led by a head who leads with “resilience, determination and ambition” to provide an inclusive and varied curriculum for its students. The school ethos is very much driven by forest schooling and proving learners with alternative education.
Personal development, welfare and behaviour have been particularly recognised as “outstanding”, thus you will be joining a team who pride themselves on developing the students socially, as well as intellectually.
You will receive excellent training, including Team Teach and the school has been recognised by Ofsted for providing its staff with “good quality professional development”. Sports and extra-curricular activities are a valued part of the school’s ethos which staff members are welcomed to engage with.
We are currently looking to grow our talent pool of quality Learning Support Assistants to work with this school and others in the area on a day-to-day, short term and long term basis over this academic year.
Due to the nature of the needs of the children, consistency is very important, therefore we require people to be able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 15:00, full time.
