MFT Employee Health and Wellbeing (EHW) service provides specialist advice and support regarding employee health issues to MFT employees and managers as well as to a variety of external clients. The EHW Service continues to provide an efficient, highly professional and cost-effective service whilst focusing activity on meeting the common challenges faced by a large Acute NHS Trust; we now look after over 20,000 employees making us the biggest Trust in the UK.

We are currently adopting a new service delivery model which means that we are undergoing some exciting changes. Are you the person we are looking for to help with this new vision?

The EHW Service is a multidisciplinary team comprising of Senior Managers, Occupational Physicians, Fitness for Work Advisers, Clinic Nurses, Psychological Support Therapists and EHW Physiotherapists. Working with our Service Support team, the main priority is to create a dynamic approach to maximise employee health, wellbeing and productivity.

To support the case management (fitness for work) element of the service we are currently recruiting an OH experienced practitioner to work alongside our expert colleagues in providing an EHW service to our highly skilled organisation. The candidate will be highly motivated and competent to carry out the full remit of the fitness for work assessment, be able to provide quality reports to management and be able to engage will all relevant stakeholders. There will be opportunity to engage with managers including provision of guided sessions on the importance of quality referrals to the service.

Taking a business partnership approach, you will work alongside EHW colleagues to provide proactive EHW services to the Trust as well as supporting external contracts. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual, is IT literate and able to learn systems and processes.

As a key member of the team this role provides a unique and exciting opportunity to assist in the design and implementation of a highly professional and customer focused EHW service

Within the Fitness for Work Team, and through regular interaction with the Team Manager, there are regular reviews of practice and opportunity to develop the service provision.
