Located on the banks of the Hudson River, Albany has a great mix of busy city and suburb environments to call home.    Are you interested in joining a team of experienced professionals within the practice of medical billing. The primary responsibilities of this position are to handle the receivable billing and collections for a healthcare organization in the area. The Medical Billing Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Finance.
  Medical Billing Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy to optimize reimbursement while adhering to regulations.
  
• Monitors tasks to improve billing practices and increase revenue
  
• Submit Notice of Elections for agencies
  
• Revenue Cycle Management
  
• Supervise billing of onsite primary care physicians group
  
• Physician coding
  
• Payment postings
  
• Reconciliation of electronic batches
  
• Insurance verification
  
• Assist with special projects as needed
  
• Primary care billing & Coding
  

Medical Billing Supervisor Qualifications:

• Hospital and physician billing Experience is a plus
  
• Working knowledge of DDE and TMHP systems, EOB’s
  
• 2-3 years of medical billing/collecting experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Payers
  
• Experience in follow-up on rejections/denials and submission of appeals
  
• Microsoft Office with strength in Microsoft Excel
  
• Strong analytical and technical skills as well as strong organizational skills required
  
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation and ability to work independently required
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required
