Principal Technology Advisor UX Design


The ICO is at the forefront of policy, guidance, direct advice to the public, and enforcement of the UK’s data protection and freedom of information laws; shaping how emerging technologies and information practices impact the lives of the UK public. These roles operate in a high profile, fast paced environment and you have the opportunity to impact on issues across many aspects of society. About the role We are looking for UX designers and product specialists, with a background in designing digital experiences for children or young adults, to help deliver high impact work related to our recently launched age appropriate design code. You will provide creative input, manage work from external design agencies and represent the ICO in situations where UX advice or guidance is needed, ensuring the ICO has a credible voice in discussions concerning data driven design experience design. You will be based at our Wilmslow head office, however the ICO embraces a flexible working policy which will include opportunities for homeworking where suitable.
