As part of LCL you’ll be encouraged to share your skills, whatever your area of expertise, to help drive the organisation to success.The Medical Microbiology Laboratory provides an interesting and varied workload. It is a HCPC training approved and fully computerised department that provides a comprehensive diagnostic service, equipped with state of the art equipment including BD Kiestra TLA, BactAlert and Bactec Blood Culture Analysers, Bactec Migit Analyser, MAST Urisytem, Cepheid Genexpert PCR system and Bruker MALDI-TOF.We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to undertake all aspects of routine laboratory work including supporting the GUM service; The post holder must hold HCPC registration and hold either the specialist diploma in Medical Microbiology or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through experience.All staff are encouraged to participate in CPD with access to relevant study days and seminars. Qualified and HCPC registered BMS staff participate in an extended day, weekend and Bank holiday working and a single discipline on call service.
