As a Facilities Manager you will be responsible for hard and soft services as well as driving quality standards within CARE Woking. You must have experience in a practical role as you will be responsible for taking charge of the day- to- day facilities management within the Clinic including the co-ordination of maintenance, health & safety and liaising with suppliers and contractors.
You will work closely with the Clinic Director to facilitate high calibre site management processes that will in turn enhance the success of CARE Fertility.
Maintain good relationships with employees and suppliers as the first point of contact with appropriate representative and encourage good communication of information on building issues
Assist the Clinic Director in meeting minimum health and safety requirements (e.g. PAT testing, fire procedures and policies)
Ensure Health and Safety, Emergency procedures and safe working practices are managed correctly
Proactively manage cost effective and reliable procurement of maintenance services and equipment etc
Advise, monitor and manage service agreements for equipment maintenance
Perform the weekly safety checks; Fire alarm, Nurse call alarm, UPS testing as directed. Ensure Legionella is tested and recorded
Ad- hoc maintenance such as gardening and ground keeping.
Use Microsoft Outlook to communicate effectively with colleagues
Proven background/ experience of working within a practical role such as engineer or health & safety
Experience of managing and investigating site-based complaints and incidents
Desirable but not essential to have an IOSH, City & Guilds in Facilities Management or Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) qualification
Previous experience of managing and investigating complaints and incidents
Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees and third party- suppliers effectively face-to-face, over the telephone and in writing
Persistent and able to follow tasks through to their conclusion
Flexible and able to independently judge potential situations, identify and take alternative courses of action without putting the client or business at risk
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Act as a CARE Fertility ambassador
