FLT/Machine Operator

We are currently looking for an FLT Driver/Machine Operator for an immediate start. Easily accessible from the areas of Moseley, Bordesley Green and Yardley, this is a long-term opportunity for skilled machine operators who can successfully manoeuvre a counterbalance. This is a large, successful manufacturing plant with an excellent reputation in custom-made cold-store units. They are seeking somebody on a long-term basis, with plenty of opportunity to work overtime both throughout the week and during the weekend. The FLT/Machine Operator must come with a minimum of 12 months experience in a manufacturing environment and an in date counterbalance licence, a side loader or Combi Forklift licence would also be a desirable bonus. The day to day duties of the FLT Driver/Machine Operator will be: - Acting as a brake press operator or equivalent (may also be known as a folding machine or industrial folder) meeting strict production targets - Reading technical drawings and fabricating parts in accordance with these - A minimum of 6 months experience as a forklift operator - Good attention to detail/ quality minded - Comfortable with loading racking with large, heavy products In order to be successful in this position all applicants must possess the following: - In date counterbalance licence - Machine operative experience and a willing to learn more - Good Attitude & Work Ethic - A side loader or combi forklift licence would be a bonus - Background in a busy production environment would also be a bonus If you feel that you hold relevant experience for our FLT Driver/Machine Operator vacancy, please click below to apply.
