As the Commercial Bid Manager, the key mission is to support the sales team in accelerating our business growth goals and making sure that pricing is not a blocker for new deals. At the same time be being the voice for operational delivery through the sales process with the customer and balancing and flagging any commercial risks. You will be working collaboratively with Sales, Operations, network and procurement teams.

What will you be doing?

  • Commercial: You will be the single point of contact for BDM's for all pricing needs and you will be responsible for new business margin, as well flagging & providing solutions to manage any commercial risks through pricing packs.
  • Business Intelligence: Through bid retro's, you will provide and implement any learnings across the business to increase win ratio for future tenders
  • Bid Outcome: Interact with the bid owner throughout the tender process and ensure all necessary follow up is done both internally and externally until the agreed handover to bid owner / implementation / business.
  • Business Unit Collaboration: Be visible throughout the bid process and attend important internal meetings to drive improved service, product and market knowledge to create the winning solutions for our customers.
  • Solutions Design: Listen to customer requirements throughout bid process and support the pre & sales team in designing ROI solutions
  • Project Management: Define project scope of the solution; define tasks, time lines and ownership with account owner and project sponsor and execute full Project Management role.
  • Customer Engagement: Proactive engagement with senior sales management and account owners during the sales cycle to ensure we are knowledgeable, prepared and aligned on win plans and timelines.


  • Experienced in the project management and response to tenders.
  • Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
  • Highly numerate, and capable of translating business requirements into commercial approaches.
  • Ability to manipulate, interpret and analyse large volumes of complex internal and external data.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills essential.
