Our prestigious client based on the outskirts of Manchester city centre offer first class continuing professional development [CPD], training services and conferences to industry and commerce by building on and developing the intellectual capabilities of Salford University.
Working as part of the production and events team and reporting to the Head of Operations, the training manager will be responsible for the production and quality assurance of all open training courses, bespoke training courses and conference producing
Ensuring sufficient product is scheduled to hit agreed revenue targets
As well as rescheduling existing courses and conferences, they will proactively source and develop new innovative course ideas, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products are commercially viable and scheduled appropriately.
The Programme Manager will work cross-functionally to review feedback and review the quality assurance aspect of each course
They will take university and external tutors through the engagement process and ensure appropriate financial agreements are in place, ensuring all tutors have their right to work in the UK checked
They will be creative and analytical with strong research capability and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additionally, they will have an attention to detail and strong project management skills
The role is hands on and requires a flexible approach
They will be required to work outside of office hours and travel from time to time to support with the wider events team.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Programme Manager’s role is to fulfil the following duties and responsibilities:
* Coordinate and develop a commercially successful portfolio of training courses to support the company achieve its ambitious growth targets, managing the P&L for each course
* Lead on the production of at least two flagship conferences per year
* Be the first point of contact to secure new dates and find solutions when tutors are unavailable
* Issue agreements and negotiate costs for new tutors
Keep records of agreed fees to be monitored in line with budgets
* Maintain a high quality of products to maintain our high customer satisfaction scores
* Manage and build upon a database of approved industry associate trainers and university academics
* Regularly engage with networking and communicating partnership opportunities
* Ensure all new products are developed in a timely manner to support the marketing and sales process,
* Provide an excellent client focused approach to dealing with all internal and external stakeholders
* Increase our product portfolio by supporting the head of operations in developing commercial partnerships with associates and partner organisations
* Take all new tutors though right to work in the UK checks
* Support where needed on the delivery of the event
* Manage the company CRM to add and amend dates and venues where appropriate
* Maintain the central course database used by all departments
* Troubleshoot day-to-day challenges, presenting solutions
* CPD Assessments – send applications, update the website for CPD accredited events, follow up post event to confirm CPD status
* Make suggestions for improving processes to deliver a better service for customers by reviewing, analysing and reporting on customer feedback.
* Deputising for the event manager and Head of Operations as and when required
