An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Manager to join them in a new role where you can make the role your own.
The main objective for this role to provide overall leadership of Health and Safety across the whole school in accordance with school policies and procedures and to lead on the monitoring, reporting, advising and oversight of compliance co-ordination, including the management of the school’s Health and Safety Committee.

Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager:
*
Responsible for the development of the Health and Safety Policy and the health and safety management systems across the School and Enterprises
*
Monitoring the effectiveness of department health and safety management through regular auditing of these systems
*
Work with the School’s Health and Safety Consultancy on regular external reviews
*
Ensure compliance with the Fire Regulatory Reform [Fire Safety] Order 2005 as amended and guidance documents relating to this, including awareness of the building regulations
*
To ensure Fire Risk Assessments are completed by a competent person as necessary and Risk Management and Major Incidents
*
Compliance coordination
For this Health and Safety Manager role, the employer is looking for:

Experience within a Health and Safety role
*
NEBOSH Qualification
*
National Diploma/General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety [or equivalent]
*
Working knowledge of current health and safety regulations
*
Excellent level of oral and written communication skills
*
Accurate and thorough [meticulous eye for detail]
*
Numerically literate
*
Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
*
Excellent IT skills [Word, Excel, Outlook]
