Global Head of Risk Consulting Location worldwide possible Job Purpose/Role The role is a global leadership position, responsible for the strategic vision of Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC). Reporting directly to the Chief Underwriting Officer Corporate, you will be delivering ARC global business objectives and KPIs, driving continuous improvement and required change management throughout the ARC operation globally. You also chair, lead and direct the ARC Management meetings and make appropriate decisions. You will redeploy ARC resources according to strategic decisions, delegate effectively, develop strong talent and address performance shortcomings proactively. You act as final ARC arbitrator in all business review issues, ARC representative as required at executive board level and as Global ambassador for ARC. Key Responsibilities In your role you will…. Define global and Line of Business specific ARC strategy in agreement with Chief Underwriting Office Corporate / Specialty; implement strategy within the ARC operation; re-evaluate strategy in a changing business context. Deliver agreed ARC global business objectives and achieve KPIs (effectiveness, efficiency, consistency). Develop, implement and achieve KPIs in line with global ARC strategic direction and that materially impact AGCS Loss Ratio and Cost Ratio targets. Maintain strong focus on effectiveness, efficiency and consistency and proactively manage and redeploy resources to achieve goals. Initiate, design and implement required changes to ARC to align it with changing client needs and business objectives; actively redeploy resources in line with required changes. Focus on the further development of ARC services, considering adequate pricing. Build a market leading talent base. Empower the organization to deliver against the ARC and AGCS business challenges; encourage initiatives and challenge status quo; upgrade and where required exchange capabilities of the team to address client needs; motivate and engage the team to build global thinking, ownership, collaboration and execution; share and drive the ARC vision; motivate and convey sense of purpose that encourages others to achieve business goals. Leverage ARC to both build and reinforce AGCS brand with customers, brokers and follow markets. Ensure clear and transparent communication in all matters – within ARC, with Underwriting, Claims and Market Management colleagues, as well as all other stakeholders to strive for best customer satisfaction. Key Requirements/Skills/Experience Degree in Engineering discipline; Bachelor’s degree in other coursework will be considered in conjunction with extensive technical experience Relevant graduate qualification is highly desirable; management qualifications an advantage Extensive risk engineering experience (11+ years) with the ability to understand risk inherent exposures and technical matters High knowledge of technical and commercial business needs including ability to interpret strategic requirements Significant experience (11 years+) in directly interacting, communicating and negotiating with senior business partners and stakeholders Ability to follow and understand relevant technical advancements and data analytic concepts, drive and support team in evaluation and implementation Proven experience of working internationally and remotely across numerous locations ideally within a complex matrix organization Ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing) Fluent in English. Further languages are desired.
