Senior Complaints Investigator/Deputy Complaints and Claims Manager

Description

37.5 hours per week The successful candidate will support the Assistant Director of Governance on the delivery of a robust integrated governance framework for the Trust that contributes to and supports the governance assurance processes. Support the Complaints & Claims Manager in the day-to-day management of complaints, claims and inquests within the Trust developing appropriate governance systems that ensure statutory and mandatory compliance. We are looking for someone who is personable and who has the ability to adapt and accommodate change. They must be able to self motivate and work as part of a team. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to write a complaint response letters and reports to be signed at executive level. This will require a high level of literacy and numeracy and the ability to convey accurately the responses from clinicians to a complainant. These skills will be tested at interview. You will have well developed telephone skills and be able to extract and summarise the essence of a verbal complaint without preconceptions or judgement. The environment is demanding and you must be able to prioritise tasks and taking responsibility for the workload and be able to work to deadlines. You will need to demonstrate experience of producing documents using Microsoft computer packages and using internet and email systems. Previous experience in the NHS and/or complaints management would be helpful. Previous applicants need not apply.
