Shape better services as an actuarial analyst
As an actuarial analyst within our pensions division you will work on a wide range of DB pensions projects for DB pensions clients and annuity providers. You will work as part of the special projects team providing excellence to clients in relation to varied DB pension projects both for ongoing pension schemes and those heading towards or in the process of buy in / out or wind up. It is your actuarial experience and passion for pensions which can make all the difference in our pensions team, who play an integral role within our employee solutions business area.

We’re supporting our clients as they adapt to a new world in the wake of COVID-19. We’re now recruiting for roles which will help our clients to deliver vital services and to resume business wherever possible.

What you will do:

  • Work directly with actuaries within the special projects team and, if required, more widely within the actuarial department
  • Liaise with administration onboarding teams and/or live administration teams to resolve identified issues in a pragmatic yet technically accurate way
  • Provide an audit trail on all work activities
  • Support the management of the team’s workflow to achieve client delivery
  • Take responsibility for own learning and development, keeping up to date with pensions’ regulatory developments

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience within pensions with knowledge of DB pensions
  • Making good progress with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries exams
  • Demonstrable experience within an actuarial type role
  • A numerical degree of 2:1 minimum
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Competent with calculations
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
