Apprenticeships are available at level 2 (GCSE equivalent) right up to Degree or Masters level so don't forget to check with us.\n \nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a secondment until February 2021 to undertake a Covid-19 swab testing and antibody blood testing role with the Community Testing Team. \n \n Introduction \n \nThis is an interesting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to undertake a role working within a small community team in response to Covid-19 government testing requirements. The services offered include an assisted home-testing service as well as a drive through hub based in Bexhill to which eligible patients can drive and self- swab/or if required have an assisted swab test without leaving their vehicles. Further developments are also now planned for antibody blood testing in a number of clinic environments.\n \n Job Summary \n \nWorking with the Operational Support Officer the postholder will be responsible for coordinating the day to day running of the service. This includes referrals to the service, appointments and flow, maintaining a safe environment, swabbing of patients, sample transportation, documentation and workforce. The service operates every day including weekends and bank holidays.\n \nAlongside the coordination aspect of the role there will be a requirement to partake in both the swabbing process (whether as a roaming nurse supporting patients at the drive through hub or providing the assisted home testing service) and antibody blood testing.\n \nThe post-holder will be managed by Suzanne Stone Head of Nursing\n \n Key Qualities/skills \n Ability to work autonomously as a lone worker Ability to prioritise workload Understanding of principles of infection control Up to date clinical skills Ability to work flexibly Ability to supervise staff, organise workload and delegate appropriately Basic IT and keyboard skills Car driver \n \nPlease ensure you have the approval of your line manager before applying for this post as it is anticipated that the successful applicants will be available to start within a month of appointment.
