We are currently recruiting a senior level hire to meet the growing demand from our client base and expand our offerings in the telecommunications, media and internet sectors in Europe. The incumbent is preferably to be based in London and will maintain and expand our client base in the European telecommunications, media and internet sector, including selling work, managing work, and building a staff of world-class talent to execute the engagements. They will manage preparation of economic studies related to telecommunications, media and internet; the products are typically advisory reports and expert testimony. Other roles include communicating with clients, coordinating with subcontractors, preparing proposals and qualification statements for potential projects and assisting in the identification of new project areas. The types of analyses include regulatory support (advice, reports, and testimony regarding regulatory options, as well as productivity growth analyses for use in regulation plans), policy and litigation support (from pre-complaint counselling through to discovery and trial, and as testifying experts or consulting experts).
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record as an accomplished entrepreneur and business generator; proven success managing, developing and mentoring staff and prior experience working as part of a successful consulting organisation. Applicants will have at least 10 years of relevant experience and hold a master’s or PhD in economics or a related discipline with a strong background in telecommunications, media and internet, policy, litigation and regulation. Prior economic consulting experience in Europe and expertise in telecommunications regulation in Europe is essential. Candidates must be comfortable performing quantitative analysis on complex and challenging business problems. Additional fluency in foreign languages would be useful.
