This is an exciting and dynamic role, which requires excellent management, coordination and leadership skills to deliver the Coventry & Warwickshire Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. Along with the Lead Nurse, the Screening Programme Manager will manage the service in line with national pathway targets.
The Coventry & Warwickshire service is provided across 3 trusts – UHCW, South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust and George Eliot NHS Trust; collaboration and excellent communication skills are key.
The prospective candidate will play a pivotal role in the operational management of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programmes’ administrative processes and operational running. Planning and negotiating with other service administration leads and endoscopy leads regarding service scheduling, capacity forecasting to ensure appropriate demand and capacity is met and deliver the service within nationally driven target timelines.
The post holder will work closely with the Screening Hub at Rugby St Cross, Health Promotion services, Public Health England, NHS England & Improvement, and all members of the multi-disciplinary teams in primary and secondary care to provide a coordinated and seamless service.
The post holder will also have line management responsibilities, and travelling between sites will be required occasionally.
