Project Manager

  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Salary Type: Per Annum

Who we are

We are a multi-award-winning digital product development agency with ambitious growth plans. We’ve been helping the government, charities, corporations, and start-ups to achieve their digital goals since 2009.

Remote working

From the very beginning, we established effective remote working practices. Therefore, working remotely is business as usual for us. It provides a better work-life balance and gives our people more autonomy. It opens up opportunities for people who otherwise would not be able to work with us and helps us do our bit in preserving the environment. As long as you can make it to client meetings when required, you will work from home for the rest of the time.

What is it like being a Project Manager at Bit Zesty?

At Bit Zesty, Project Managers look after our client’s digital products - including bespoke software, websites and mobile apps.

With a passion for delivering quality work, and focus on brilliant customer service, our Project Managers are fantastic communicators, facilitators and organisers. They tend to come from technical backgrounds and are comfortable with having technical conversations; they have strong business analysis skills and are happy doing hands-on QA. They see the bigger picture and enjoy rolling up their sleeves and being involved in small details.

What does a Project Manager at Bit Zesty do?

You will report to our Managing Director and work alongside other Project Managers, Developers and UX Designers. Some of the things you can expect to be tasked with are:

  • Lead and take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple digital product projects for our clients.
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria, and work closely with the development team to estimate them and get them actioned.
  • Ensure our work meets the quality standards and acceptance criteria by testing.
  • Triage and action support requests coming in from the clients you look after.
  • Run client meetings - communicate progress, run demos, review priorities and provide budget updates.
  • Create and keep up-to-date project documentation and project boards.
  • Track, manage and communicate to clients’ project budgets.
  • Lead daily team stand-ups, identify impediments and help to eliminate them.

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have experience managing bespoke technology projects.
  • Have experience as a Project Manager in an agency/consultancy environment.
  • Come from a technical background or have gained a strong understanding of technology through experience.
  • Have experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Have experience of hands-on testing and have immaculate attention to detail.
  • Be able to effortlessly juggle multiple conflicting and changing priorities and schedules.
  • Be a strong communicator with the ability to effectively interact across various levels, teams and cultures.
  • Be able to stay calm in stressful situations.

As a Bit Zesty team member, you should also be:

  • Acting with integrity - we value honesty and doing the right thing.
  • Customer experience orientated - we strive to provide an excellent experience for the end-users, our customers and our teammates.
  • Committed to quality - whether it is award-winning designs, robust code or well-written email, we never cut corners.
  • Task-focused - for us it is about getting the job done, rather than watching the clock.
  • Flexible - we are not phased by changing priorities or requirements and are comfortable with a level of uncertainty.

What do we offer in return?

  • Opportunity to work mostly remotely.
  • 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays).
  • Training budget.
  • Medical insurance.
  • Competitive salary depending on relevant experience.
