We're looking for a candidate to this position in an exciting company.
Take accountability for all aspects of project management and delivery to target timescales and budget
Take a leadership role in terms of the daily contract relationship with the local authority
Interpret and comply with relevant legislation, regulation and best practice guidance. Formulate appropriate policy and governance arrangements
Produce relevant information reports to substantiate performance; and implement best practice project management tools and techniques to improve the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the facility
Have excellent project and programme management experience and credentials. We need someone that can set structured project plans, clear milestones and pull a team together.
Have relevant experience from a commercial operational environment (disciplined structure). Ideally in waste management/recycling but this is not mandatory; and ideally some exposure to a “plant” . . this could be a power plant or industrial site. Most likely someone from a manufacturing or engineering background
Experience of working in or with the public sector (local authorities) and on Public Private Partnerships (PPP) would be a very desirable
Great communicator and relationship builder; can resolve difficult situations effectively and drop into the detail when needed including complex technical matters
Robust on following through on things; very hands-on and with high emotional intelligence
Must have a solid process improvement background with the ability to question, analyse and develop current procedures
Degree qualified or equivalent in an engineering, project management or related subject.
