What will you be doing? The Senior Counsel will provide senior level legal support to Vodafone’s Consumer Business Unit i.e. Pay Monthly, Pay as You Go, Voxi, Internet of Things and Home Broadband on all products and propositions. This is an exciting team management opportunity. Key accountabilities include: To work with the Consumer Legal Team to deliver excellent legal advice and support to the Consumer Business Unit To act as the key point of contact within the Consumer Legal Team for Vodafone’s mobile and home broadband services, keeping Consumer product documentation up-to-date and provide ongoing training to ensure that key stakeholders engage as efficiently as possible and in a way that manages key legal and regulatory risks To support the Consumer Business Unit to launch new products and propositions in a legally and regulatory compliant way To be responsible for ensuring that the Consumer Business Unit understands what is required to comply with relevant law and regulation and deliver succinct and precise advice and risk-based reports to senior stakeholders to facilitate decision making To collaborate effectively with other parts of legal and compliance To keep up-to-date with recent legal and regulatory developments and emerging legal issues that could affect Vodafone’s UK operations, and advising the business accordingly Who are we looking for? Solicitor with high quality post-qualification legal experience in the commercial field Solid grounding in commercial law and a good level of general legal knowledge Experience in regulated organisations preferable, e.g. FCA, Ofcom, etc. Proficient drafting skills and able to draft standard commercial contracts, with ability to draft more complex contracts under supervision Good negotiation and influencing skills and able to lead legal negotiations on standard contracts and drive projects to successful completion What’s in it for you?
