Senior Product Assurance Engineer (Senior)

Full Description:
Product Assurance tasks covering all aspects of product assurance, ensuring product quality and the integrity of our design and manufacturing processes. Working with Project Managers, Customers, Design/Development teams, Operations and Purchasing/Suppliers.Plan, communicate and lead site internal audit programme including carrying out some internal audits.Point of contact for external certification body audits e.g. AS9100, and awareness of customer audits for track and trace purposes.Report audit internal and external findings to senior management team and assist with monitoring action closure.No line management responsibilities. Key Responsibility AreasSupport Project teams; be part of an Integrated Project Team, manage and report QA work package status to Project Manager, identify and maintain Key Process Indicators to track project progression. Represent QA at Project Meetings, and Customer Meetings.Lead site internal audit programme.Point of contact and plan annual external audit activities.Build and maintain effective contacts with a range of people across the Business.Support bid teams; review of Contractual Quality requirements, generate Quality plan including deliverables and a schedule of QA work packages. Respond to specific quality questions from customer.Develop knowledge of the Company's processes and procedures to act as advisor to projects, and be able to undertake internal Quality audits.Non-conformance management (failure analysis, root cause corrective and preventative actions) recording progress on SAP, and track concessions.Ensure product compliance to regulatory and legal requirements, e.g. export controls, product safety.Generate monthly status reports QA Management. Be able to present information to Project, Customer End Users or Suppliers as appropriate.Attend and occasionally chair internal product and material review boards (MRB / Peer reviews). And provide QA input when reviewing change proposals and associated sign offs.Review product build paperwork and authorise final release certificates of conformance (CofC).Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge RequiredEducated to HND level or equivalent in relevant science or engineering subject.Practical experience working in a Quality Assurance / Project assurance discipline within an engineering design and/or manufacturing environment.Experience in a relevant manufacturing based industry (for example - electronics, semiconductor, optical packaging, medical, automotive, Space or defence).Working knowledge of applying quality standards : ISO-9001 (Preferably AS-9100).Effective communicator, both verbal and written, with all levels of the business and customers.Trained internal auditorDesirableFamiliar with Quality tools and techniques - (D)FMEA, Root cause analysis e.g. 8D, statistical techniques.Familiar with SAP.Familiar with configuration management Ad Posted: 29/Oct/20: Location: Southampton, Hampshire, United Kingdom: Salary (approx): Competitive: Job Type: Permanent: Experience: Senior: Languages Required: English: Reference: 971454538:
