With deep expertise in clinical development and more than 25 years of supporting trial sponsors and clinical research organizations (CROs), Calyx harnesses that intelligence and activates its potential to solve complex problems, deliver fast insights, and get new drugs to market every day."*Job Purpose:*As Director of Product Management you will be responsible for enabling the clarity and execution of the Roadmap for your assigned product and driving growth through the effective launch of new products. *Key Accountabilities and Supporting Activities:**Understand the market - *Study and become an expert in multiple market segments for a portfolio of products. Understand market size, segments, market problems, value propositions, distinctive competence, competitors, buyer and user personas, sales processes, monetization strategy, and business plans for the product. *Define new opportunities - *In the context of fit to the entire portfolio of products. Be able to explain the market, the product, its strategy, and its plans to senior executives, customers, buyers/prospects, industry thought leaders and market analysts. *Define and manage the product roadmap - *Translate research, validation, and understanding of the market and multiple products into a clear roadmap for the product, grounded in incremental value added to the business. Facilitate prioritization for new product needs alongside other products in the portfolio. Be prepared to explain the roadmap to all levels of customers and prospects.*Chair the cross-functional core team - *Identify and coordinate the participation of cross-functional leaders needed for steering the strategic direction of the product. Lead through influence, rather than authority, to identify, analyze, and prioritize product initiatives. Gain cross-functional executive support for initiatives prior to executive and/or gate exit presentations.*Define Market Requirements - *Capture the needs of existing or newly defined markets through buyer, user, and competitor-based research. Define market requirements that represent Jobs To Be Done as well as associated challenges. Include functional and non-functional market requirements that create alignment with cross-functional leaders and provide guidance to stakeholders on critical business needs. *Develop business cases - *Lead the core team and other contributors to develop business cases that support definitive decisions at gate exits. Use market data to model the addressable market, describe the competitive landscape, outline strategic alignment, and define market share expectations. Present business cases to the executive leadership team, analysts, and potential customer ROI to buyer executives.*Support launch readiness - *Facilitate product adoption post-launch through effective limited commercial release planning, and general launch readiness. Lead collaborative team that includes product marketing, commercial marketing, operations, and support to insure successful launch and early product adoption.*Manage the product lifecycle - *Analyze product adoption and market position by monitoring current market share, win-loss feedback, user feedback, support cost metrics, and technology shifts. Utilize knowledge of market problems, competitive landscape, and organizational strategic vision to guide lifecycle planning, including end-of-life.*Qualifications**Skills:** High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is essential. * Familiarity with CRM and collaboration tools* Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)* Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools (e.g. Rally, Aha)*Knowledge and Experience*: * A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a market/customer-facing role.* A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in product management, product marketing, strategic marketing, or related roles.* Experience in clinical research, pharmaceuticals, biotech, healthcare, medical technology, enterprise software, and technology-enabled services preferred.* Experience in prioritizing, leading cross-functional teams, and making timely decisions under uncertainty.* Experience in financial and market modeling to describe market opportunity.* Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large groups, and a solid writer.* Able to operate within a collaborative team environment.*Education:*Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, physical sciences, or related field. MBA preferred.
