Key responsibilities: Take ownership for functionality and user experience of product (within area of responsibility), including user flows, journey maps, prototypes, data visualisations, user interactions etc Line manage team of designers, ensuring high quality outputs, delivery against objectives and an engaged culture Drive continuous improvements to designs, interactions and experiences for users across the end to end experience Own delivery and management of scalable design system to provide a consistent and high quality user experience and accelerate delivery Proactively engage with and drivethe shaping of product roadmaps, within area of responsibility, to ensure they meet customer needs and move product metrics Ensure that prototypes are built on, iterated and tested against genuine client insight and feedback Supportdesign anddevelopment ofa rigorous and effective UX framework Coordinate with other Design leaders to manage cross over,improve awareness,reduce duplicationandensure consistency of designoutputs/user interactionsacross Design and broader product teams. Desired capabilities: Creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative and agile environment. Able to translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, user stories, mock-ups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences. Strong people leader and mentor, able to plan and coordinate effort, build alignment and vision for the team Evangelises design thinking and design across the product org and beyond – act as an advocate for client-centred design. Strong persuasion and relationship building skills to influence others without authority and encourage collaboration between stakeholders Comfortable with ambiguity – seeking to find clarity where possible, but able to make clear and concise decisions when required to drive team activity and support broader timelines/objectives. Excellent self-organisation and ability to plan own work and that of your team in line with the broader team plans and priorities Able to confidently convey purpose, value and concepts of design-lead product development to non-design team members and influence without conflict Drives greater and deeper team understanding ofcustomersneeds, motivations and behaviours Contributes to strategy development, community building and knowledge sharing within Design, encouraging others to do the same Good understanding of solution context and approach to assess feasibility and support estimating technical complexity of proposed solutions Comfortable working with knowns and unknowns We offer an exciting work environment that brings people together.
