Are you an experienced Database Administrator (SQL, AWS, T-SQL) looking for an exciting role in the midst of this pandemic?

My client, a Local Government organisation are looking for a Database Administrator (SQL, AWS, T-SQL) to join them at their central location in the thriving seaside town of Southend.
You will be responsible for managing all activities related to the database systems. You will be accountable for the delivery of service into the business areas as well as supporting with the planning, documentation and SME input.

Responsibilites:

• Create and maintain database documentation
• Install and test new version of the database management system
• Maintain version currency
• Upgrading and maintaining the best DBMS functionality
• Giving advice and improving server and technology
• Understand efficient legacy data stored in RDBMS systems with Big Data technologies

Requirements:

• Experience in working within a Microsoft Database Administrator role
• Experience in SQL Sercer and SQL Server Data Tools
• Knowledge of SSIS, SSAS and SSRS will help
• Strong understanding of database infrastructure, maintenance and administration
• Proven experience of Azure or AWS
• Knowledge of T-SQL and PL-SQL
• HTML and Javascript
• Willingness to learn and ability to communicate with teammates
