Director of People and Organisational Development We are seeking an experienced people and organisational development professional with a proven track record of leading high performing teams in an ambitious and dynamic environment. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of People and Organisational Development will provide strategic and operational leadership for people services across the school. The role spans two employing entities and includes responsibility for ensuring that Oxford Saïd has the necessary capacity and capabilities, HR systems and processes in place to support the school’s world-class goals and 5-year strategic plan. They are a trusted advisor to the Dean, COO, Associate Deans and Heads of SBS departments. A key part of the role is to work closely with colleagues in the wider University, aligning with institutional policies and ensuring good communication. The Director of People and OD will oversee the recruitment and retention, career development and employee relations of staff from the two entities, in line with their respective terms and conditions of employment. Against the backdrop of recent changes to ways of working, they will prioritise support for personal development and wellbeing. The current structure has the specifics of the faculty HR function reporting to another senior manager. In keeping with our commitment to continuous improvement, there is scope for this role to review the structure of the staff and faculty people services across the school.
