The expanding Coventry Neurological Rehabilitation Team (CNRT) is looking for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join their interdisciplinary team. The CNRT is a community based interdisciplinary therapy team who work alongside the Early Supported Discharge Team (ESD) for stroke. The team works together with any person who has experienced a new or acute exacerbation of a neurological condition; which required a hospital admission, majority of patients do have a stroke diagnosis. The opportunity to rotate between CNRT and ESD teams will be available once the new stroke pathway has been established. The time frame for this is yet to be decided. There may also be the opportunity for a wider rotation across the stroke pathway in the future. The team works collaboratively with acute services, community networks and the third sector to deliver a patient centered; goal focused approach to rehabilitation. This post will offer you an opportunity to consolidate and develop clinical skills in managing complex neurological patients in the community. You will be working closely with the highly skilled Leads in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Psychology within the Interdisciplinary team. The suitable candidate may have some experience in managing a caseload of neurologically impaired adults (this may be as a student, or post qualification) and be HCPC registered. Your development will be supported through Value Based Appraisal, one to one meetings, and Clinical Supervision. The structure of the team will enable you to work closely with all members of the Interdisciplinary Team and Clinical Lead to support deliver standards of care and service aligned to the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust Visions and Values.
