This is The Eastside Rooms.\n \nThis exciting new development comprising of 195-bed Aloft hotel and 1,200 seater conference venue in the heart of a major regeneration project in Birmingham's Eastside is due to open in late 2020.\n \nThe development forms part of Birmingham's Big City Plan - a 20-year city centre masterplan which aims to transform the Eastside area into a thriving business, leisure, cultural and learning destination.\n \nThe hotel is set to house a 120 seater restaurant 'Tempo!', a cocktail bar 'W xyz' and a fully equipped gym. Whilst the conference venue will include the 'Affinity Suite' spanning more than 880 sqm and accommodating 800 people for banqueting, 1,200 theatre style and 500 cabaret style. Two flexible meeting spaces will also be available, accommodating up to 270 people theatre style, as well as a further 13 meeting rooms and two dedicated executive boardrooms for up to 10.\n \n The Role \n \nFirst stage interviews for this role will take place online via Zoom\n \nThis role requires an exceptionally hands on, motivational team member who will work side by side with the hotel team, ensuring standards and service are delivered consistently, providing a first class service to all of our guests who are in the hotel premises overnight. Reporting into the Night Manager, you will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, while working closely with other departments ensuring the smooth running of the hotel.\n \n Key Responsibilities will be to:\n Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, wherever possible going the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction. Provide excellent customer service across the entire operation including the Reception, as well as in the Bar and Restaurant as required by the business Be fully conversant with the facilities, services and promotions offered by the hotel and whenever appropriate offer this information to the guest. Anticipate guests needs where possible and react to those needs to enhance the guest experience Maximise sales through up-selling, using incentives and promotions and most importantly drive guest loyalty through the recognised brand recognition programme. Ensure all customer enquiries and requests for bookings are dealt with promptly, courteously and efficiently, maximising revenue streams at all times. Assist the handling and resolving of guest problems or issues as necessary. Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and Fire Life Safety standards at all times. \n The Person \n 2+ years experience within a similar role.
