About You: You will have practical experience of grounds and repair works to common parts of housing estates and will have the ability to build effective relationships with all teams involved in keeping our estates in an excellent condition. Your role will be to plan, pre-inspect, specify and project manage repairs projects and post inspect to ensure quality and costs are within tolerance. You will also analyse data in relation to estates and work with residents and all relevant partners to jointly solve problems and facilitate an excellent environment for our residents. Role Requirements: Essential Experience Demonstrable experience in a surveying environment Excellent leadership and influencing skills Staff supervision and performance management Planning work programmes Contract administration (sub-contractors). Financial and quality controls Key Knowledge and skills Building construction and maintenance Building contract and negotiation Budget management and forecasting Ability to present to a range of audiences Project management High levels of initiative, decision making and problem-solving ability We work in partnership with Hampshire County Council (HCC) who deliver many transactional services on our behalf. Although most communications will be from HCC, all selection and appointment decisions will be made by RBKC. Certain services are shared across more than one Council area to nearby neighbouring Authorities. This enhances delivery and reduces costs.
