Specialist Clinical Pharmacist for MH and LD

Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our friendly and dynamic pharmacy team in this "Outstanding" CQC rated Mental Health Trust. This post would be ideal for a pharmacist who has a keen interest in mental health and wishes to develop their general clinical pharmacy skills (Band 6 role), or a pharmacist who already has experience of working in secondary care and wishes to further develop their clinical expertise in mental health (Band 7 role). Pharmacists are fully integrated into the wider multidisciplinary teams. The pharmacy team has excellent relationships with other healthcare professionals and work collaboratively to improve service user outcomes. The primary role of the post holder will be to provide a high quality, patient focused clinical pharmacy service to a variety of mental health units including acute and older people, child and adolescent, learning disabilities, and forensic wards. Additionally, the role will involve leading and implementing projects that support the Trust Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Strategy. The post holder must be flexible, have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong clinical and organisational skills, enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team and be able to show compassion and respect for people with mental health problems. The post holder must have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council and for the band 7 role, ideally possess a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy and/or Psychiatric Therapeutics up to at least certificate level. We are committed to the training and development of our staff and the successful candidate will be supported to study for a post graduate qualification in Pharmacy Practice and/or Psychiatric Therapeutics. We are receptive to supporting flexible patterns of work. In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,034 and a maximum payment of £1,791 per annum (pro rata where applicable).
