Role Summary:The European Medical Director is responsible for defining and managing the Medical Affairs Strategy for GE Healthcare – Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) portfolio of molecular imaging radiotracers and contrast media and to provide scientific and medical expertise on the products and their related imaging modalities. You will lead the organization of South and Central Europe and you will be accountable for the Northern Europe region (UK, Ireland, Nordics and Benelux).
Essential Responsibilities:• Oversight and governance of the Medical Affairs Strategy at European level and provision of scientific support and leadership of the Medical Affairs activities of the Northern European Region (UK, Ireland, Nordics, Benelux). The Medical Affairs Strategy includes life cycle management, scientific support for marketing and commercial programs, support for clinical programs, Society and KOL plans and research strategy & publication plans for PMS and investigator-initiated studies. • Provide high quality medical expertise and strategic support to the commercial team and other functions.
• Participate in scientific meetings with active role in presenting key clinical evidence to referral groups and KOL • Development of relationships with key medical opinion leaders in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Neurology and Cardiology and act as the medical liaison for medical societies, health authorities and advocacy groups
• Secure the right process for review and approval of promotional materials for scientific content according to ABPI guidelines (signatory) • Support creation of clinical summaries, training materials and oversight medical information activities • Responsible to assess and support investigator sponsored trials and Post marketing surveillance studies. Collaboration with Clinical development providing feedback to the development plans.

Qualifications/Requirements:• Medically qualified (MD) • Significant relevant pharmaceutical or related industry experience in a similar international role • Experience of approving promotional materials in accordance with the ABPI Code (signatory) • Business knowledge and understanding of commercial and scientific needs • Ability to travel 30% of the time (domestic and international) • Highest ethical standards in corporate medical governance

Experience in digital communication • Proven ability to translate and appropriately align commercial and scientific goals and objectives and to interact productively with both commercial and scientific colleagues • Demonstrated project management skills to establish strategic goals and to prioritize, plan, delegate and evaluate deliverables
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills; ability to influence and make recommendations at multiple levels of the company • Post graduate work experience in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Neurology or Cardiology or a related medical/scientific area highly preferred
