Clinical Psychologist

Description

West London Rehabilitation Services are transforming their community mental health rehabilitation services to provide evidence based care to our service users in the least restrictive environments possible in line with the NHS Long Term Plan. We aim to enable our service users to receive the care and support they need to progress through the rehabilitation pathway, within their home boroughs, through the delivery of bespoke MDT interventions. About the roles: We are currently seeking to recruit a number of Band 7 and Band 8a Clinical Psychologists to develop and lead our new tri-borough community based, rehabilitation service for people with complex psychosis. This post is for the Band 7 position in Hounslow. This new service will support our service users to live within the least restrictive environments suitable to meet their needs, including provision into their own homes. We will offer specialist, multi-disciplinary, assessment and intervention for adults with complex mental health difficulties, who are living either in supported accommodations or their own homes and encourage flow through the rehabilitation system. Psychology will have a key role in the provision of consultation and support to both the clinical teams and the staff teams within supported housing accommodations, through the provision of reflective practice, complex case discussion groups and teaching/training in line with a trauma informed approach to care. We will also have a strong focus on developing links with community drug and alcohol services, including the provision of specialist substance use workers in each team. This is a very exciting time to join community rehabilitation in West London as we grow and develop our services. The post holder will be well supported within this role by senior psychologists, team and clinical leads and have the opportunity to connect with other psychologists across the tri-borough service. West London has an active CPD programme for psychologists and psychology is involved in planning regarding transformation, service development and delivery. The teams hold psychological formulation and psychological interventions as central to their pathways and the post holders will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of intervention protocols within these teams. The trust is committed to developing excellent services and you will be part of a team excited by, and striving for, optimal recovery outcomes for each individual who uses our services. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to the common cold, through to the very severe or even fatal disease. The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the utmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of the Trust that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust
