We are looking to appoint a team player with excellent communication skills and a drive for continual improvement. You will need to be an Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) or have the equivalent knowledge base using ICD-10 and OPCS 4.9, whilst being able to demonstrate application of clinical coding standards to support our objective of providing a high quality standard of Clinical Coding across the trust. If you wish to develop your career with supported progression, read on and apply now! ABOUT THE TEAM The Clinical Coding Team performs an extremely important role in the information and financial flows of the Trust. The role of Clinical Coding has never been as crucial and to support the up and coming requirements of the Trust, we now need to appoint an additional Team Leader to support this and the team. WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Clinical Coding Team Leader you will be responsible for the supervision of the Clinical Coding Team and for monitoring the accurate and timely completion of coded clinical data. You will be required to work under pressure to meet deadlines and undertake a variety of tasks to maintain our high standards of coded data. You will also need to maintain a personal training portfolio, through attendance on refresher courses, specialty coding workshops and a variety of management courses, all designed to support your continued professional development. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Successful candidates will be shortlisted based upon how they meet the essential and desirable criteria set out in the person specification. Candidates who fail to demonstrate this will not be shortlisted. Applicants should highlight how they meet these criteria through their employment history, qualifications and within their supporting information. If you have a good approach to mentoring and supervising, enjoy communicating effectively with a broad range of key stakeholders and can manage your time to work accurately and meet deadlines - then this could be the post for you! We believe you deserve the best possible surroundings in which to do your job and we want to support you in doing your job to the best of your ability.
