In return for your hard work, we offer well-established, structured mentoring and staff development packages to support you in your role. This post is suitable for a new or developing band 7. We have an an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join and lead our front door (ED) therapy team.  We need an innovative and enthusiastic team player to maximise the potential of the service and directly develop our ED Pathway. Alongside another band 7 OT (frailty lead) and physiotherapy colleagues, the role includes supervising an OT team (qualified and assistants) covering specialisms including Emergency Department, AAU and Medical Assessment unit (early admissions) and the Frailty Unit. As the team lead, you will also be responsible for supervision, training and development of the team, as well as contributing to departmental and Trust improvements. Service development and audit to evidence efficiency and efficacy are essential and as such experience in this field crucial. Learning and personal development is encouraged and we have a well-established appraisal system and funding for relevant external and internal courses. Due to the nature of the caseload and service provision – weekend work and shift patterns are standard for this post.
