We are seeking experienced Systems Engineering and Integration professionals with a desire and determination to provide business, project, technical leadership as part of an industry-leading Systems Engineering, Integration and Assurance group. Successful candidates will be passionate about thought leadership and proactively contribute to continuous improvement of our service offering, helping us to lead Systems Engineering thinking and its application to address the ‘future ready’ challenges. The successful candidate will be a self-starter leading teams to deliver services to meet our client’s needs, primarily across major UK Rail projects. You will contribute to the evolution and improvement of the services we deliver to our current and future clients. Successful candidates will demonstrate behaviours that will contribute to the leadership of a diverse and supportive culture within the group, fostering a high performing team environment. The successful candidate will be capable of, big picture thinking who can help develop our SI:D 3 framework and its application, alongside supporting the development of the Early Career Professionals within our group. As a senior consultant within our team you will be expected to take on roles with increasing responsibility and accountability for planning, estimating and executing task, potentially directing other resources from within our team. We are looking for candidates with the ability to make a difference, who can pro-actively lead systems integration activities, collaborating and promoting the adoption to existing and potential clients. We are after individuals who will embrace turning challenges in to opportunities while being held accountable to the high standards we set ourselves. A typical week would include: Leading teams to solve complex integration problems for our clients on major infrastructure programmes A recognised expert in systems integration, demonstrating a willingness and openness to provide expert advice to our clients and your colleagues Working on major projects in senior systems engineering roles, often in challenging project environments, always adding value and reducing risk for our clients by applying pragmatic systems thinking Determining the right approach to a problem, considering the competing needs and constraints on clients’ capabilities, availabilities of resource, time and cost constraints Acting as a mentor to junior colleagues, coaching and inspiring them to develop as systems engineers and consultants Providing leadership to the continuous development of our service and capabilities We'd love to hear from you if you have: A degree in relevant engineering discipline Have achieved Chartered status of a relevant professional body Significant Post degree experience in delivering systems integration in a rail environment, and/or equivalent sector Expertise in applying various systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS) and techniques (e.g. MBSE) Expertise in identifying and defining the appropriate approach to systems engineering on projects Expertise in identifying and defining the appropriate application of systems engineering tools on projects Experience in a variety of project leadership and/or senior roles supporting career mentoring Experience in client facing roles, and/or experience in stakeholder engagement Experience across different life cycle stages, or a clear understanding of the Systems Engineering challenges across different stages Experience in business development and / or tendering / work winning Have excellent interpersonal, leadership and presentation skills What if we can?
