We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Equipment Engineer to join our Test & Validation Team
As a Test Equipment Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of automated test systems for our innovative automotive electronics products
Your primary focus will be on system-level testing, design and process validation, and production testing
Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Test & Validation, and Production departments, you will ensure the successful implementation of automated test solutions
The Role: 
Design and develop automated test systems for automotive electronics, encompassing system-level testing, design and process validation, and production testing.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Test & Validation, and Production, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the product being developed, functional aspects of the design, and testing requirements.
Design and develop custom electronics, software programs/scripts and fixturing to facilitate automated testing processes.
Analyse and validate the testability of products, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and compliance requirements such as ASPICE and ISO26262.
Develop test tools and routines to enable efficient and effective testing at various stages of the product development life cycle, considering the specific requirements of each stage.
Customize test solutions to meet individual customer requirements and specifications.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation related to the setup, operation, and technical design of the automated test equipment.
Troubleshoot test problems and develop appropriate hardware and software solutions to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, providing technical support and guidance throughout the testing and validation processes.
Commissioning and installation of complete test solutions in the production environment.
Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile: 
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, specialisation in Automation Technology, or a related field.
Solid knowledge of hardware electronics and the ability to analyse circuit diagrams.
Familiarity with test strategies and proficiency in modern test and measurement technology.
Proficiency in programming languages such as LabVIEW, C, and C++ for developing test programs.
Experience in system-level testing, design and process validation, and production testing in the field of automotive electronics.
Understanding of the product development life cycle and the different stages of testing, including requirements analysis, design verification, and production testing.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements such as ASPICE and ISO26262.
Strong technical documentation skills, including the ability to create comprehensive documentation for the setup, operation, and technical design of test equipment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Test & Validation, and Production, to understand the product being developed, functional aspects of the design, and testing requirements.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
