Project Manager / BID Lead

DescriptionMy client in Derbyshire is in the market for a seasoned Project Manager adept at steering both in-house and client-oriented projects
The successful candidate will serve as the main liaison for all aspects concerning the projects, including organisational matters and scheduling.
The key responsibilities will encompass the formulation of comprehensive project plans, securing resources, and ensuring the completion of each project within the designated budget and timeframe
The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in business acumen, management, budgeting, and analysis
They must be a proficient communicator, comfortable in juggling multiple responsibilities, and have a collaborative spirit coupled with a knack for problem-solving.
Key Duties:
* Synchronising in-house resources and third-party suppliers to flawlessly execute projects.
* Aiding the team with BID involvement [PQQ, RFI, ITT responses] and corresponding compliance due diligence.
* Guaranteeing the timely, on-budget, and within-scope delivery of all projects.
* Conceptualising project scopes and objectives, incorporating all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
* Resource allocation planning.
* Crafting comprehensive project plans.
* Maintaining the relationship with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
* Implementing risk management strategies to curtail project risks.
* Establishing and preserving thorough project documentation.
Required Skills and Expertise:
* Robust STEM background, preferably within the realms of computer science or Microelectronics.
* Demonstrated operational experience as a Project Manager within the advanced technology sector.
* A solid technical background, including an understanding of or hands-on experience in software and hardware research and development.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Project.
* PMP / PRINCE II certification.
The successful candidate must be a British citizen and able to secure and maintain an unconditional DV security clearance.
Hybrid working arrangements will be supported where suitable.
The position offers an attractive package ranging from £40K to £75K, depending on experience, plus additional benefits
