This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical engineer to be part of the most profitable business in the company that is growing rapidly.
This company has won the first license and has more prospects in the pipeline.
You will:
Participate in the development, review and delivery of turn-key projects, engineering
specifications and deliverables.
Participate in specification, evaluation and selection of vendor packages and plant equipment.
Be responsible for the mechanical design of process facilities.
Maintain the required technical quality of work.
Participate actively in the business’s technology R&D as a key development engineering
stakeholder.
Lead and implement technology research projects and findings.
Ensure that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations and procedures.
Liaise with sub-contractors and vendors to develop, deliver and troubleshoot solutions for the
technology.
Conceive and lead optimisation activities at operational facilities.
Work closely with the other engineering disciplines to overcome difficulties and find the best
approach for the solution.
Support existing Operation and Commissioning teams, remotely and on-site.
Give support to commissioning and operations team remotely and on-site.
Produce process documentation from scratch where no templates are available.
Ensure proper management of change, keeping documentation and design files up to date.
Person Specification:
Bachelor of Engineering [Mechanical] or equivalent qualification.
Incorporated or Chartered [desirable] with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or
equivalent.
Experience in specifying pipework, pressure vessels, mechanical items, valves, plant
equipment and materials of construction.
Strong understanding of process requirements, ability to interpret P&ID’s.
Working knowledge of ASME, ASTM, ISO, MSS and EU standards relating to process pipework.
[PED 2014/68/EU, ASME/ANSI B16 series, ASME/ANSI B31.3 as a minimum].
Experience using AutoCAD [Plant 3D desirable] or equivalent
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The role would suit a candidate with at least three years relevant working experience within
an engineering design field.
