Description✓Mechanical Engineer [ Heat Exchanger / Rotating Equipment / Static equipment ] – Clean Energy Renewables – London Operator £40k - £70k plus benefits [ Oil & Gas / Chemical / Petrochemical / Upstream / Renewables / Power / Nuclear ]

✓You will:
✓Participate in the development, review and delivery of turn-key projects, engineering
✓specifications and deliverables.
✓Participate in specification, evaluation and selection of vendor packages and plant equipment.
✓Be responsible for the mechanical design of process facilities.
✓Maintain the required technical quality of work.
✓Participate actively in the business’s technology R&D as a key development engineering
✓stakeholder.
✓Lead and implement technology research projects and findings.
✓Ensure that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations and procedures.
✓Liaise with sub-contractors and vendors to develop, deliver and troubleshoot solutions for the
✓technology.
✓Conceive and lead optimisation activities at operational facilities.
✓Work closely with the other engineering disciplines to overcome difficulties and find the best
✓approach for the solution.
✓Support existing Operation and Commissioning teams, remotely and on-site.
✓Give support to commissioning and operations team remotely and on-site.
✓Produce process documentation from scratch where no templates are available.
✓Ensure proper management of change, keeping documentation and design files up to date.
✓Person Specification:
✓Bachelor of Engineering [Mechanical] or equivalent qualification.
✓Incorporated or Chartered [desirable] with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or
✓equivalent.
✓Experience in specifying pipework, pressure vessels, mechanical items, valves, plant
✓equipment and materials of construction.
✓Strong understanding of process requirements, ability to interpret P&ID’s.
✓Working knowledge of ASME, ASTM, ISO, MSS and EU standards relating to process pipework.
✓[PED 2014/68/EU, ASME/ANSI B16 series, ASME/ANSI B31.3 as a minimum].
✓Experience using AutoCAD [Plant 3D desirable] or equivalent
✓Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
✓The role would suit a candidate with at least three years relevant working experience within
✓an engineering design field.
