Are you a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant [HLTA] seeking an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Our vibrant and inclusive partner school in Croydon, CR0 are currently seeking a skilled HLTA to provide PPA cover and support children with special educational needs within their school community
This fantastic HLTA opportunity is available to start in September, working for the 2023/2024 academic year, and for the right candidate, will progress onto a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality PPA cover across the school, ensuring continuity and progression in learning for all pupils.
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Primary Curriculum.
Provide targeted support and intervention to children with special educational needs, tailoring strategies and resources to meet their individual requirements.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social, emotional, and academic development of all pupils.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and teachers to aid their ongoing development.
Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to create and implement individual education plans [IEPs] for children with special educational needs.Requirements:
Hold a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent.
Previous experience working as a HLTA within a primary school setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and its application for primary-aged children.
Experience in supporting children with special educational needs, including knowledge of different learning styles and strategies.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff members.
