Description✓Higher Level Teaching Assistant [HLTA] - PPA Cover and SEN Support
✓Are you a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant [HLTA] seeking an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Our vibrant and inclusive partner school in Croydon, CR0 are currently seeking a skilled HLTA to provide PPA cover and support children with special educational needs within their school community
✓This fantastic HLTA opportunity is available to start in September, working for the 2023/2024 academic year, and for the right candidate, will progress onto a permanent position.
✓Responsibilities:
✓Deliver high-quality PPA cover across the school, ensuring continuity and progression in learning for all pupils.
✓Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Primary Curriculum.
✓Provide targeted support and intervention to children with special educational needs, tailoring strategies and resources to meet their individual requirements.
✓Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social, emotional, and academic development of all pupils.
✓Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and teachers to aid their ongoing development.
✓Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to create and implement individual education plans [IEPs] for children with special educational needs.Requirements:
✓Hold a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent.
✓Previous experience working as a HLTA within a primary school setting is highly desirable.
✓Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and its application for primary-aged children.
✓Experience in supporting children with special educational needs, including knowledge of different learning styles and strategies.
✓Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff members.
