✓Key Tasks of the job
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓* Be a solid part of our electronics design team.
✓* Maintaining a large portfolio of products in Production.
✓* Upgrading documents to reflect changes and improvements.
✓* Design electronics systems from concept to production
✓* Product design - collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers/ technicians to design/ solve complex problems
✓* Take product through NPI [new product introduction] process
✓* Fault finding/ Root cause analysis.
✓* EMC/ Safety testing
✓Key skills/experience required:
✓* DC-DC Converter design/ understanding of various topologies
✓* Experience using design tools like Altium or equivalent
✓PCB design for mass production.
✓* Rapid prototyping skills [Soldering/ Cable building]
✓* Experience with simulation tools like LTspice
✓* Automated test design/ implementation
✓* Good knowledge and understanding of electronics fundamentals
✓* Strong soldering skills and a good knowledge of the PCB manufacturing processes.
✓* Understanding of compliance [EMC, safety, RoHS, REACH and WEEE]
✓* Mechanical knowledge an advantage
✓* Microcontroller/ embedded design experience
✓* Teamwork skills are essential, and the ability to work not only within a small multi-discipline team, but also communication skills to engage with the different teams across the company.
✓Desirable skills/experience :
✓* Knowledge of embedded C or other embedded software languages
✓* FPGA design/ VHDL
✓* Experience of taking a product through full compliance [CE/ FCC]
