Description✓DT Technician in Secondary School in Lambeth
✓We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled DT Technician to support our Design and Technology department in our Secondary School
✓The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, preparing materials for practical classes, and providing technical support to teachers and students.
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓Maintain and repair equipment in the DT department, including woodworking, metalworking, and CAD/CAM equipment.
✓Prepare materials for practical classes, including cutting, shaping and assembling materials as needed.
✓Provide technical support to teachers and students, including training on the use of equipment and software.
✓Manage the inventory of materials and equipment in the DT department.
✓Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance, and order new equipment and materials as needed.Qualifications:
✓Experience in a similar role in a secondary school or educational setting.
✓Strong technical skills in woodworking, metalworking, and CAD/CAM equipment.
✓Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✓Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
✓Good communication and interpersonal skills.
✓A relevant qualification in a related field is desirable but not essential.We offer a competitive pay rate [between £12 and £15 per hour] and a supportive working environment.
