An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the innovative ICT Directorate at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
ICT has an excellent reputation in the organisation and with our peer organisations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill the role of Principal Information Analyst – population health. They will be pivotal to our aspirations, continued success and current issues we are facing as a nation.
This is a fixed term or secondment role to support the exciting ICT agenda on an information and application improvement basis. This role will be fundamental to successful engagement with the leadership, operational, clinical teams in ensuring our solutions work well to meet the needs of the Barnsley health community. It is critical we have solutions that enhance the experience of our patients by providing robust intelligence to support the ongoing local response to the COVID 19 pandemic, improve population health outcomes and reduce inequalities.
The post will be hosted by Barnsley Hospital but will support the multi-agency COVID 19 Surveillance Cell to provide intelligence on local risks and outbreaks, the impact of the disease and social distancing on different groups within the population and prioritisation of those most at risk through recovery and restoration. The post holder will be working with colleagues from within the NHS, across local authorities, third and private sectors in Barnsley and with partners across the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System.
The empowered role will include data analysis, producing reports, quality assurance of health intelligence products, as well as the supporting the provision of training and translational support so that stakeholders can understand and act on complex health intelligence. Communicating and visualising complex data is a key part of this role, with the aim of developing a shared understanding of the health and care environment.
