Optimising a balance between the cost of capital tied up in spare parts inventory and minimising downtime and (MTTR) Mean Time to Repair.  This is achieved by:Contribute to the development and application of the sparing strategy.Maintain Equipment Bills of Materials (BoM) in SAP for gas plants and installations.Determine the correct level of spare parts holding for each plant and the location in which they should be held (Echelon Planning).Purchase (or repair) and arrange storage of necessary spare parts.Manage the spare parts inventory levels, through Material Resource Planning (MRP), to ensure that the required spare parts are available for use in a time frame that meets the business need.Provide a 24hr - 365 days/year point of contact for materials.Ideal Technical Experience and Knowledge:min 3 yrs experience as a Plant Support Specialist or Production Planner within the petrochemical or chemical industryStrong commercial acumenTerminology and technical appreciation of operating plant and equipment.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specification of equipmentA purchasing or supply chain backgroundMS Excel (Pivot tables, Macros etc)SAP (Materials and Warehousing Module)Access Databases utilising Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL’s)Good organisational and supervisory skillsBudgetary management What We offer: In return, we offer a competitive salary & benefits package, a culture of respect, challenge and innovation – with excellent opportunities for growth and development. * We thank all applicants in advance for their interest; however, only those applicants who are being considered for an interview, or are currently employed by Air Products, will be contacted. Air Products is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
