IT Support Executive

Job Category: IT Job Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom IT Support Executive, £22,000, based from HQ in Northampton. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this is a very varied IT support role for a leading provider of corporate services. You will be really 'tech-savvy' as you will be the main point of contact for around 60 staff. This will include setting up PCs for new users, looking after fundamental IT problems including printers, scanners and other hardware, doing backups and installing software/product keys and liaising with third-party IT support when an issue needs escalating. This is a busy role where your days will be filled by * Helping staff with support issues via phone, remote login and over their internal messaging system. This side of the role has been hectic in 2020! * Troubleshooting IT and networking issues * Dealing with third-party IT services providers when things need to be escalated. * Keeping management informed of significant issues and providing support and knowledge on the resources needed to maintain an efficient system. Required Skills and Qualities: * Curious: You must be very tech savvy and always keeping up to date with advancements in tech. * Customer Service led - someone that loves getting a brilliant job done * Empathy - the ability to help and support those that are less tech savvy, * IT Literate: Solid knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Ability and keenness to learn new systems. Ideally, you will have some IT qualifications or certificates. * Organisational: Good time management and possessing the ability to work several projects simultaneously. Well planned and project management approach to getting a job done. * Reliable: A conscientious person that can be depended upon to get a good job done. * Stable career history - not a job hopper * Team-player: Will work with others for the good of the company. Will willingly help and support others. * Tech-savvy - able to solve most common IT issues and communicate problems to a third party IT support agency when issues require escalating. * Willingness to undertake repetitive tasks such as CRM, data cleansing, data input and sales administration.
