Healthcare Assistant Planned Service Birmingham and Solihull Job Reference: L35-71254 Employer: Department: Caring Services Location: Birmingham and Solihull Salary: £9.89 per hour plus enhancements As a Healthcare Assistant with Marie Curie, you'll be there for people in their time of greatest need. We provide free specialist care and support to patients with terminal illnesses whilst offering vital emotional support for their families. It's all about giving them the best possible quality of life. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistants to join our teams in Birmingham and Solihull full or part time. You will be working across all our commissioned night services and will be part of a team providing excellent individualized care, enabling patients to be cared for and die in their own homes surrounded by their families and loved ones. Working hours will cover 10:00pm to 07:00am Ideally you will hold a NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Relevant experience in Palliative or End of Life Care is desirable but not essential. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team, use initiative and organise your workload and have good communication skills. Afull driver's license is essential and the use of a car, insured for business use.
