SME Collections Specialist


Description We are looking for a Collections Specialist who has experience working with small businesses to recover outstanding balances on loans and current accounts. You will strike a balance between maintaining trustful relationships and ensuring timely payments. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as an ability to work independently on complex cases. Responsibilities Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts or loans that may be in default Investigate historical data for each debt or bill Find and contact businesses to ask about their overdue payments Take actions to encourage timely debt payments Process payments and refunds Resolve billing and customer credit issues Update account status records and collection efforts Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status Requirements Proven experience within a collections role, preferably to include experience of working with business customers Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g. skip tracing) Familiarity with laws and regulation related to debt collection Skilled in negotiation Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Problem-solving skills Flexibility to work some weekends Benefits 33 days holiday (including public hols).
