Main purpose of post This post will join the Council's Policy & External Relations team to provide additional resource to the policy team, with a particular focus on the Making Spend Matter project and Community Wealth Building agenda. Responsibilities To support the ongoing engagement and collaboration with local and relevant stakeholders To assist with project communication and dissemination activities for the Making Spend Matters project. To undertake desk and field research (as appropriate) to support key policy work, including the Community Wealth Building agenda. To support the preparation and submission of project administrative tasks, such as financial claims. To attend meetings / conferences as required. To provide operational support to the Policy team. To provide policy briefings and summaries for the Head of Policy and External Relations as required. To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably be requested by the Head of Policy and External Relations.Skills/Qualifications Good interpersonal skills Good written communication skills Ability to succinctly summarise complex ideas Good ICT skills, including the ability to produce graphs / presentations / reports Ability to work independently, with a minimum of supervision Ability to find key information from reliable sources Familiarity with key policies relating to Community Wealth Building (such as progressive procurement, social value, etc.) 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths (C and above) Degree level or equivalent e.g. NVQ level 4 &/or relevant experience To get more information about this role and how to apply please contact Mia (phone number removed)
