Head of Business Development and Marketing Head of Business Development and Marketing North East England Reference: 384037 Job type: Permanent Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Share On: Company Nigel Wright are delighted to working with a fast growing service sector business based in the North East of England who are looking to hire a Head of Business Development, Sales and Marketing to drive growth in both B2C and B2B sectors. Role As a key member of the senior management team, the head of business development, sales and marketing will manage and lead a team of 7 across the business development and marketing function and will be responsible for creating and implementing the marketing and business development strategy to achieve ambitious growth targets. Key areas of responsibility will include: Lead the team to deliver, own and manage KPIs which are set by the board and Senior Management Team.  Set the marketing and sales operational objectives and overall ownership of new business pipeline. Own and manage new business opportunities to generate revenue and improve profitability Strategic oversight of the marketing strategy – including brand, key content, identity and values Develop pricing strategy, analyse the competitor landscape, early stage engagement of potential new locations and clients. Prioritise potential areas for the business to develop new services and take proactive ownership of the delivery of the sales performance, including challenging the status quo, to deliver exceptional performance Engage with existing clients, franchisee and members to ensure their needs are incorporated into the overall delivery planning and CRM development To implement, evolve and evaluate the marketing strategy and plan in conjunction with the Marketing Manager & manage the associated budget within the department. To oversee the marketing team to drive brand awareness and raise the profile of the business.  Experience Key requirements include: Proven experience in delivering new business in both a B2B and B2C environment, ideally within the service sector. Demonstrable track record in leading a sales and marketing function to deliver ambitious growth targets. Extensive new business development and marketing experience.
