The Media Analytics Executive facilitates client retention and identifies new and innovative business opportunities by utilizing our expansive data and measurement capabilities to deliver client-centric research and insight, in collaboration with the wider commercial organization. By connecting different data sets, the team aims to create compelling stories for our clients. We leverage behavioral, syndicated, and primary research data sets and employ a “Reach, Resonance & Reaction” measurement framework – that is, how effectively the advertising investment reached intended audiences, whether it impacted attitudes and perceptions, and ultimately if it drove the desired response. RESPONSIBILITIES The role is oriented to consultative selling, answering the client’s research objectives, and returning revenue performance with profitable delivery. Manage and service a group of key clients across different sectors; identifying opportunities, writing proposals, pitching for business, and delivering insights in collaboration with the wider Nielsen commercial organization. Lead, direct, and manage stakeholders on ad hoc projects in partnership with the research and client service teams to ensure investment from all members resulting in client confidence and trust. Identify business development opportunities and implement a strategic account plan for your client base, in line with wider Nielsen commercial goals and targets. The opportunity to create more advanced and customized Nielsen services to transform ad hoc business into longer-term relationships with annual project commitments. Work with the wider internal Nielsen business to increase awareness and penetration of media analytic solutions, including identifying opportunities and supporting relevant teams where necessary with proposals, pitches, and sales collateral. QUALIFICATIONS A passion to understand the advertising/media landscape and the importance of marketing effectiveness research and measurement. Comprehension of research techniques, including behavioral and syndicated data sets as well as primary research. The creative and innovative mindset to answer the client’s core research questions. A desire to understand all things digital, from advertising to the role of the internet in the path to purchase. Good commercial and financial acumen. Passionate about building client relationships, driving sales, revenue and new business opportunities. Proven relationship-building skills. Skillful in winning new business through creative proposals of Nielsen capabilities, providing optimum solutions to address key client business issues. An independent worker, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt style and behavior accordingly. A great presenter, comfortable pitching, and delivering insight to senior executives. Strong influencing and negotiation skills (external and internal).
